PrimeStore™ MTM inactivates the virus while preserving the virus RNA for qPCR, NGS or gene sequencing. 

• Considered by US FDA as a primary sample collection device for SARS-CoV-2. Only media on the FDA's preferred list that inactivates SARS-CoV-2 during the collection and transit stage.
• PrimeStore™ MTM is the only FDA Cleared Molecular Transport Medium for respiratory samples suspected of harboring influenza or TB (FDA cleared in 2018).
• PrimeStore™ MTM collected samples enable safe handling for both point of care and in the laboratory-since the entire sample in inactivated/killed including SARS-CoV-2.
• Since the pathogens collected are eliminated, the samples can be shipped using routine boxing/shipping methods.
• Samples in PrimeStore™ can be shipped with NO COLD CHAIN, no wet or dry ice (samples stable at room temperature up to 30 days).
• Because the virus is inactivated upon addition to the tubes, testing locations can handle the samples in benchtop and BSL1 conditionsallowing them to expand their testing capacity.
• The collected sample in PrimeStore™ can be used/re-used several times for additional testing.
• PrimeStore MTM  provides safer and more reliable testing than UTM/VTM, saline, or research use only devices.  Samples in VTM/Saline are still considered infectious and must be transferred in a biological safety cabinet, significantly slowing down the work flow.
• PrimeStore™ MTM is compatible with all spin columns and molecular bead extraction kits (bench top and high throughput liquid handling systems) and works with the Roche MAGNAPURE, Thermo Scientific MagMax, or almost all DNA/RNA liquid handling extraction systems.
• Primestore ® MTM cryotubes can be frozen at ultra-low temperatures for biobanking or simply store in the refrigerator.
• Laboratories have independently validated PrimeStore MTM a wide range of high throughput platforms from Roche, Thermo Fisher, Abbott, Siemens, Luminex, BioRad, PSS, Promega, and BioMerieux, as well as the Cepheid GeneXpert point of care platform.
